Are there recurring infrastructure costs?
Yes — but they're low. Anthropic's Claude Haiku is priced per token and very affordable for typical usage. Voyage AI gives you 200M free embedding tokens. Pinecone's serverless free tier handles most early-stage apps. Vercel's hobby plan is free. Most developers spend under $5/month total.
Can I use FastRAG for client projects?
Absolutely. The MIT license allows full commercial use — build client projects, charge for them, and keep all the revenue. You cannot resell the raw source code itself.
Do I need a credit card to try it?
There's a live demo at fastrag.live/demo that you can test without any purchase or account creation. It uses real Claude Haiku streaming and real Pinecone retrieval. For the source code, payment is handled securely via Gumroad.
